CiPA Ion Channel Panel for Cardiac Safety
The Comprehensive In Vitro Proarrhythmia Assay (CiPA) provides a more comprehensive approach to assessing a compound’s potential proarrhythmic risk than relying on hERG screening alone.
Developed by a CiPA Steering Team of international regulators, industry, academics and not-for-profit organisations, CiPA has four pillars:
- An in vitro measurement of compound functional effects on multiple ion channels
- In silico modelling
- Cardiomyocyte multielectrode array
- The evaluation of ECG metrics early in clinical trials
ApconiX provides all three nonclinical pillars of CiPA to provide an integrated approach to cardiac safety including the CiPA panel of seven ion channels that are involved in the different aspects of the cardiac action potential.
Your compound will be tested by expert ion channel electrophysiologists using automated patch-clamp technology; Patchliner, Nanion Technologies or QPatch II, Sophion Biosciences.
You will benefit from
- High-quality ion channel functional data
- High-throughput assays matched to your design-make-test cycle
- Access to our scientists who are more than happy to discuss experimental details and the results obtained.
Our expert team of project toxicologists are available to discuss broader project implications, provide insight into risks and mechanisms of action, and will support you in prioritising the right candidates moving forward.
What we need from you
- We require 3mg compound solid or in solution
What you will receive
- Our reports provide IC50 values for each compound
- Full reports are delivered within 14 days of receipt of compound
What Is Included in the CiPA Ion Channel Panel?
The ApconiX CiPA Ion Channel Panel assesses compound activity across seven cardiac ion-channel currents.
