The Role of Project Toxicologist:

ApconiX is looking for a toxicologist ready to take their career to the next level.  As part of our growing team you will help shape the nonclinical safety plans of our diverse range of clients.  This might include CRO selection, study design, report review, regulatory document preparation and interactions with health authorities.

Supported by the broader ApconiX team, the role provides the opportunity to work with companies across the globe to progress new therapies into clinical trials and towards marketing approval.

You will have 5 years of toxicology experience within a CRO, biotech or research institute with a good understanding of general toxicology studies.  Ideally you will have an understanding of the nonclinical safety requirements in drug development but this is not essential as training and mentoring will be provided.  You will enjoy being part of a dynamic team and have the confidence to work independently.  This is an exciting opportunity for an early career toxicologist to gain extensive experience working alongside industry-leading scientists and companies.

  • Ideally qualified to PhD or MSc level in a biological science or with appropriate experience
  • At least 5 years experience in toxicology/nonclinical safety
  • An understanding of GLP and regulatory requirements for drug safety
  • Fluent English with excellent communication skills
  • Collaborative, organised and approaches work with passion and sense of fun.

We are looking for full time employees but we are open to part time and/or flexible working.  The company offers competitive pay, pension and holidays.  This is a great opportunity to be part of a small team, making a big difference.
