Visyon is the ApconiX Charity for 2024
Visyon is a charity that supports the emotional health of children, young people and their families in the Cheshire East region of the UK where ApconiX is based. We got off to an early start and was raising money for Visyon in late 2023.
So far we’ve dressed up for Halloween, song Christmas carols and enjoyed a Games Night. All brilliantly organised by Hannah Jennings, Magali-Anne Maizieres and Ruth Roberts.
We would very much like to thank everyone who donated money to our charity of the year so far and look forward to supporting many more events in 2024. We’ll keep you posted and let you know how close we’re getting to our target of £2000 for the year.

The charity’s Mission and Vision are:
“Visyon’s mission listens, learns, and responds to the evolving needs of children and young people through high quality therapeutic programmes rooted in evidence, expertise and the lived experience. We prioritise relationships and collaboration, safeguarding individuals and facilitating long lasting change. We recognise strengths, respect difference, and provide opportunities for growth in a safe place where individuals feel valued and their experience is validated.
Visyon’s vision is for an open and educated community where mental health has no stigma, where difficulties are recognised and supported with knowledge, skills and respect. A community where children, yond people and their families have access to safe spaces where they can talk openly about their mental and emotional health, are listened to , and that is responsive to their voice and needs.”
Games Night ’23
We ate lots of pizza and played some excellent board and card games (and a spot of ping-pong). We’d had lots of of scrummy things donated to us so we could have a three prize raffle draw.
Ruth (with Hannah and Magali) won the raffle prize – the massive hamper – and it did weigh a tonne!
Christmas ’23
We song Christmas carols at Alderley Park Christmas Fair and disturbed people enjoying their Christmas lunch in the restaurant. Everyone was very generous and our motley crew performed splendidly on the day and included two from Gentronix who kindly swelled the ranks.
